When the 2001 Nisqually Earthquake destroyed Compass Center's
shelter and headquarters, they came to Common Ground to help them respond to
the crisis.
The rebuilding of the historic 77 South Washington site and the construction
of
an
addition enabled Compass Center to expand their services to Seattle's homeless
citizens.
